Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has in its Tuesday Plenary adjourned sitting for two week over the scourge of the covid-19 pandemic.
The decision was believed to have been reached in a two hour closed door meeting before the announcement was made by the senate President, Dr. Ahmed Lawan.
According to the announcement, the Nigeria Senate will resume on the 7th April, 2020.
They have also asked the federal government to devote fund specifically to combat the scourge from spreading further adding that state across the federation should also be assisted with fund, the statement said.
Lawan who enjoined senate committee on health and communicable to move into action to ensure proper coordination of activities while he called on senators to watch out for any emergency .
