The Nigeria High Commission in Australia, led by Amb. Anderson Madubike, has described Nigeria as a country endowed with both human and natural resources to position itself as a world leader in many fields of human endeavor.
The above was made known by the nation’s Envoy to Australia on Tuesday, 22 March 2022, in Suva, Republic of Fiji, when he presented his credentials to President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, President of the Republic of Fiji.
Amb. Madubike also informed his host that Nigerians are highly educated, enterprising, and mobile individuals who enjoy traveling the world and leaving positive footprints wherever they go.
While paying glowing tributes to the people of Fiji, whom he described as peace-loving, orderly, and proud of their cultural heritage, the Ambassador noted that, aside from other bilateral considerations, this could be a veritable tool for engagement and relations with the people of Nigeria.
Earlier, while receiving the Nigeria High Commission in Australia, President Katonivere expressed his gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that he looked forward to deeper bilateral ties with the African continent’s great giant in exchange for Nigeria’s President’s goodwill and friendship to the Government and people of the Republic of Fiji.
During the ceremony, Amb. Madubike inspected a guard of honour mounted on his behalf by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Fiji and promised to bring the warm friendship and reception he had received in Suva back with him.
Amb. Madubike serves as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Australia, and the Republic of Fiji is one of the Pacific countries he represents.
