Our attention has been drawn to a story of purported adjustment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Timetable/ Schedule of Activities for the 2023 General Elections which is making the rounds on social media.
The ruling All Progressive Congress in a statement signed by it National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka said the story should be disregarded as fake news.
The statement adds that the Party’s Timetable/Schedule of Activities for the 2023 elections remain as earlier published:
- 1. Governorship – Friday, 20th of May, 2022.
2. State House of Assembly – Sunday, 22nd of May, 2022.
3. House of Representatives – Tuesday, 24th of May, 2022.
4. Senate – Wednesday, 25th of May 2022.
5. Presidential – Monday, 30th of May to June 1st, 2022.
Should an adjustment become necessary, such changes will be communicated via our official communication channels, the press statement read.
Similarly, the party in a release said inauguration of screening committee for State House of assembly aspirants/special Congress committees to elect local government, state and national delegates hold today, 17th May, 2022.
“The Chairpersons and Secretaries of Screening Committees for State House of Assembly Aspirants/ Special Congress Committees to Elect Local Government, State and National Delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be inaugurated as follows:
