Walking in victory could equally mean overcoming an enemy or antagonist, achieving success in a struggle, or an endeavor against odds and difficulties. This can be made possible through perseverance in faith; thereby, making the believer to experience the power of his identity in Christ. Living a victorious life for God in a time like this, when the society is in serious confusion and it seems that there is no hope in sight. There are threats to live here and there, insecurity is on the increase, poverty has become many peoples’ identity, and the economy is at the verge of collapse. There is a solid rock that we can stand on that has a firm foundation and cannot be shaken. That foundation is JESUS CHRIST, and He alone is the one that can open doors, and remove barriers in our lives.
1 Peter 2: 4 – 5; we must maintain a continuous fellowship with the Lord through reading of the word of God and in prayer. Some of us only call on God when there is a serious situation that arises in our lives. Prayer is the greatest privilege available to all believers in Christ, yet it is our biggest failure. We supposed to be in continuous contact with God, but when we allow sin in our lives, that will break the fellowship with the Lord. Yet He is always faithful, and ready to forgive our sins if we can confess and forsake them. (1 John 1: 9)
PRAYER REQUEST:
Lord, take over the battle of my life and family, our nation- Nigeria, and the world at large. Give us peace in Jesus Name.
CONFESSION:
I refused to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I will present my request to God.
