I congratulate all Muslim faithfuls from my constituency and the state at large on the occasion of this year’s Eid el Kabir celebrations. Let us see this Sallah celebration as a moment of reflections and prayers for peace within the constituency especially in Agatu where inter communal crisis is tearing our people apart. There’s no alternative to peaceful coexistence as a major bedrock of every development and without peace no meaningful progress can be achieved by the people. We should pray for the complete resolution of the Egba, Ologba, Agbube, Okokolo and other communal crisis which the state government is seriously involved in bringing to an end. My appreciation goes to the state Governor, Samuel Ortom for giving me listening ears any time I call on him concerning the security challenges of our people despite our political party differences. The security of our people must be taken seriously by all relevant stakeholders as it comes first and above all. Once again, I thank the good people of Apa and Agatu for your high level of religious tolerance exhibited since the history of our dear constituency, it is my prayer that nothing comes in-between the two major religions in the constituency. We must crave for more harmonious relationships between Christians and Muslims in our society. I wish all Apa and Agatu Muslim faithfuls a wonderful Eid el Kabir celebration. Barka da Sallah! Godday Odagboyi Samuel Member, Apa/Agatu Federal House of Representatives
