HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MOURNS FORMER COLLEAGUE
Nigeria’s House of Representatives today at Plenary observed the traditional one-minute silence in honour of Hon.Haske Francis Hananiya, a Member of the 7th Assembly, who passed on in Abuja about a week ago after a brief illness.
The above followed a letter written to Members of the House of Representatives by the Member representing, Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency, Hon.Yusuf Buba Yakub,informing his colleagues of the demise of the deceased,who he described as “a gentleman Politician and Accountant “that would be greatly missed by his Constituents, the state and the entire nation.
In the letter ,which was read today during Plenary by the Speaker,House of Representatives, Rt.Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila, Hon.Buba called for prayers and sympathies from colleagues for the family the late lawmaker left behind, while informing the House that he and the people of his Constituency would continue to mourn the deceased who he described as one of their very own, who he said,gave his best to the service of their people in the House between the years 2011-2015.
Speaking to National Assembly correspondents in his office today at the end of the Plenary Session of the House, Hon. Buba said the late lawmaker passed away at a time his experience and good counsel would have provided him and Adamawa State the benefits of his leadership insights and vision. The Adamawa State-born lawmaker and entrepreneur also used the occasion to re-iterate his call for prayers and support for the family of the deceased.
