LAWMAKER LAUDS PRESIDENT BUHARI ON THE APPOINTMENT OF NEW NNPC GMD & Describes Kyari as True Technocrat and Man of Character

  President Muhammadu Buhari has been commended for appointing Mr.Mele Kolo Kyari as the Group Managing Director of the NNPC. While congratulating Mr.Kyari on the appointment,Member representing Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives,Hon.Yusuf Buba Yakub, through Nkem Anyata-Lafia. SA,Media and Publicity to Hon.Member described the new GMD as a man of character and true professional in his field, whose expertise and experience garnered over three decades in the Oil and Gas field ,he said,would contribute immensely to President Buhari’s vision of pushing the nation’s economy to his Administration’s New Level and to the frontiers of national affluence. In a Congratulatory Letter personally signed by the lawmaker,a copy of which was made available to media men,Thursday,in his National Assembly office ,Rep.Buba said it was ,particularly, gratifying to note that the new GMD’s appointment was coming at a time when the nation was aiming to succeed with the help of honest and resourceful men and women like Kyari. The Adamawa-born lawmaker and entrepreneur expressed confidence that the newly-appointed GMD would succeed in his new task as he had done in other positions before now. He said: “I trust that you would bring to bear the sound expertise garnered over the past three decades in your field to contribute to Mr.President’s vision…” Mr.Mele Kolo Kyari,a graduate of Geology and pacesetter in several areas of Oil and Gas production and economics, was last week appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the new GMD of the NNPC to replace Engr.Maikanti Baru,whose tenure expires in October this year.
