NIGERIA FLAVOUR 2019: A Tripartite Must Dance Food Show

The 2nd Edition of the Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation food festival “Nigerian Flavours” held on Saturday 29th June showcases the rich diversity in Nigeria cuisines and beverages. The event, described as tripartite and exceptional by participants noting that the event started on children friendly atmosphere preludes into the evening for young adults then classical night for matured minds featuring varieties on √•Food and Beverage Courts √•Musical performance √• Comedy Show √•Fashion Courts √•Children Area √•Games √• Dance
The explosive electrifying dance and fun environment, a professional says is medicinal, it was indeed a blend of food and music; together feeding the body and soul as well culminating into a therapy for healthy living   The 2019 edition further pride Nigeria on the world stage as an outstanding culinary destination for gastronomy tourism   This year edition of Nigeria Flavour sampled new foods from different parts of Nigeria with local exhibitors from around Abuja. Arts, crafts and fashion courts was also available at the event. Food and beverage pairing, children area, fun games, dance, comedy show and live performance. A participate who spoke to panafricreporters says the festival is a reflection of Nigeria’s robust food culture and offer a tantalizing taste for both locals and visitors. Exhibitors at the event expressed enthusiasm, appreciated Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation and partners however appealed to government for sustainability and consistency of the event. Mr. Wole Lanre, Director, Ekiti State Council of Arts described the event as epoch adding that tourism is the only venture that generate immediate revenues. He therefore appeals and use the occasion to advocate for carving out a separate ministry for the tourism sector of the country. Mr. Wole Lanre, an expert in tourism and an epitome of arts and culture further appealed to NTDC for Ekiti state to host the next Nigeria Flavour. Folorunsho Coker- Director General, NTDC said, Nigeria Flavour is a conceived brand to drive the promotion of domestic consumption of Nigeria cuisines and beverages. The event he said is meant to further the tempo of food tourism in the country.
