Member representing Gombi/ Hong Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hon.Yusuf Buba Yakub,has called on Government to provide security,welfare and other necessary logistic support to the people of his Constituency and parts of Askira-Uba in Borno State who were recently attacked by bandits.
In a Motion of Urgent National Importance moved during House of Representatives’ plenary, Wednesday, the lawmaker informed the House that lives had been lost and property destroyed in the Sunday attacks of December 1.
The Motion, which was supported by Hon.Haruna Mshelia,Member representing Hawul/ Askira-Uba of Borno State,was also adopted by a majority voice-vote and sent to the House Committee on Northeast Commission for further investigation and legislative action. A minute silence was also observed by the House in honour of those who lost their lives.
