Chairman of the People Democratic Party , PDP in ward 4 (Olomu 1) in Ughelli South area council Delta state , Mr. Paul Onomuakpokpo has been reportedly shot dead by suspected assassins.
The incident according to reports occurred at about 7:00 pm on Wednesday, along Ogoni Road, near the palace of Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom.
The victim was said to died on the spot received several bullets from his assailants as his vehicle, a Toyota Camry also bore bullet mark.
Sketchy is the details surrounding the killing as at the time of filing this report but it was learnt that the hoodlums fired sporadically into the air and ensured that the victim died before leaving the scene.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command has confirmed the incident.
The Delta State commissioner of police, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa said “the corpse has been deposited in a morgue . and we are investigating the matter.
