The apex global body of coalition of all Nigerian youths: Nigerian Youth Coalition (NYC) salutes the unequalled gallantry service of the Nigerian military men and women, and most importantly for paying the supreme prize of death in their defence of the Nigerian state.

The NYC is aware of the present predicaments of the military whose unprecedented superlative efforts and sacrifices at the various multiple war fronts in the Sambisa forest of the North East, Zamfara Kaduna, Kastina, deep creeks of the Niger Delta nor hinterland of the Southeast and savannas in the Southwest is recklessly weakened due lack of modern sophisticated technology manpower and artillery weapons, adequate funding and political will motivated supports from the various successive governments from the pre to post-colonial era till date.

However, as parts of our fundamental demands is for the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government of Nigeria, in addition to her recent positive interventions, is to open a Special Trust Funds purse for onward generation of multi sectoral funding from well meaning Nigerians and friends of Nigeria respectively.

This funds is expected to be an added motivation to our gallant soldiers, beyond the usual sales of Army Remembrance Day emblem of insignia.

While we call on all State Governors to emulate Lagos State, whose Special Security Trust Funds is being utilized to purchase vehicles and provide other support services to all security formations in the state viz Operation OP MESA and others.

NYC is calling on the citizens to provide succinct information and intelligence in the security management of the country.

We implore the Office of the National Security Adviser to form more collaborative workings base station with other sister security agencies and community citizens security networks such as vigilante, hisbah, Amotekun and others, via the establishment of the National Joint Regional Security Network Commission through the Act of parliament or Executive order, where the government can assiduously discharge its responsibility beyond reasonable doubts in the protection of security of lives and properties of the people, whose daily lives is under abrupt fear of mass killings, kidnapping, banditory, rape and terrorism across the country.

We are indeed proud of our gallant soldiers.

God bless Nigeria.
