The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs Visits Staff at the Federal Secretariat, Charges Staff on Service Delivery.

The Permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Mrs Anthonia A. Ekpa, PhD, paid an unscheduled visit to offices occupied by staff of the Ministry at the Federal Secretariat Complex Office. This was in continuation of her familiarization tour as she was recently deployed to the Ministry.

During the visit, she discovered that the offices were scattered on different floors which made coordination clumsy. She also greeted by the dilapidated state of the offices with scanty furniture and equipment. She therefore, directed Mrs. Christiana Oliko, a Deputy Director and the Coordinator of the Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRIN) project to supervise and coordinate all officers to ensure orderliness and ease of operation therefore, enjoins Mrs. Oliko to report back to her by the end of January, 2021.

The Permanent Secretary had earlier visited the crèche of the Ministry that has not been functioning since the bomb blast of 2011 and promised to use her expertise, wealth of experience and position as the Permanent secretary of Women Affairs to support the Honorable Minister and the entire staff of the Ministry to bring the crèche back to life as a source of income for the development of the Country and ensure the Ministry accomplishes its mandate.
