Federal Medical Centre Jabi, FCT has emerged as the Joint Action of Society Organizations in Nigeria’s winner of the Best Tertiary Health Care Centre North Central Nigeria. This is in consideration of the esteemed role of the hospital, the management and non management staffs led by Prof Saad Ahmed the Chief Medical Director in the development of the Health Sector and health care delivery in Nigeria generally. Remarkably, its role in the fight against Covid-19 in Nigeria is applausive. Within the shortest possible time, through the effort of the Federal Ministry of Health and most especially Federal Medical Centre Jabi FCT, Nigeria shows the world that we can take care of our problems.
The Center is renowned for its world-class equipment for treatment, ensuring a clean and healthy environment, community, and Youth Development in Abuja. The Joint Action Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria JACSSON a coalition of Five Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria namely the Centre For Social Justice Equity and Transparency (CESJET), Save Humanity Advocacy Centre (SHAC), Global Integrity Crusade Network (GICN ), Transparency Advocacy for Development Initiative (TADI), and Stand Up Nigeria (SUN) has recognised the sterling performance of the Centre and decided to fame it with an award.
In a statement by the coordinator, Mr. Ikpa Isaac noted that “this is aimed at spurring the Chief Medical Director and his team to deliver more services to God and Humanity and to appreciate the leader for the reform he has brought to the health sector”.
This decision was reached at the Midyear appraisal conference held at Statement Hotel Abuja on 11th June 2021, where nominations were made and FMC Jabi emerged as the winner.
