… IN THE ROGUISH BUSINESS OF POLITICS- BE PREPARED!

You have heard it before. Hear it again, politics is a roguish business.

Brutal power play politicians insist that there is no morality in politics.

They may be wrong but you may not be right by insisting otherwise.

Power politics is full of intrigues, histrionics and dramatics. Anything can happen in politics including the unthinkable.

What has become indubitable however is that in all the shenanigans of politics, interest is the only permanent thing in politics.

Change is one other common currency in politics- enemies today, friends tomorrow provided always interests clash or align as the case may be.

As we enter the imminent transfer window ahead 2023…expect the expected. Political mobility and jumpology under different guises and excuses.

Only neophytes will not expect it. Call it betrayal or disloyalty.

Before you scoff at those returning, moving to new parties or changing camp within the same party, be informed that there is no politician without a price.

May your loyalty not be tested.

Besides political mobility is legit and constitutional. It is an interest game!

Be prepared!

Listen to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, “I plan for betrayal, I plan for backstabbing, I also plan for reunion and forgiveness long before they happen.”

Interesting times are ahead. Alignments and realignments along vested or contingent interests will happen. It is no prophecy. It is political truism.

Be prepared.

A new normal is possible.
