Nigerian long jumper, Ese Brume, has won a silver medal at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships at Belgrade on Sunday 20th March.
Ese Brume had dedicated her previous medals including the Olympic Bronze medal and African Gold medal and decorated Bishop Oyedepo at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland exactly 7 weeks ago on Sunday 30th March 2022 during a thanksgiving service. Bishop Oyedepo had also declared more medals in return for her spirit of gratitude to God.
The Silver medal went to Ese Brume of Nigeria, thanks to her third-round effort of 6.85m.
After Brume landed at 6.67m with her final jump, the stadium erupted with noise.
Brume had earlier won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar. She also claimed bronze at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and also a Commonwealth Winner.
The Delta-born long jumper has now joined only 2 other Nigerians as athletes who have won medals at world athletics indoor events and the Olympics.
The silver medal also makes Brume the third Nigerian long jumper after 2 other Nigerians to make the podium in the history of the indoor competition.
Church Gist had reported how Ese Brume won Bronze in August 2021 and had promised to dedicate it to Bishop Oyedepo at Canaanland while her coach had also testified of how he led Ese and others to Christ and to become dedicated Church members. Ese is a worshipper at LFC Ugbowo, Benin-City, Edo State, Nigeria.
Panafricreporters celebrates with Ese Brume and earnestly looks forward to her first Olympic and World Gold medals in Jesus name.
