
Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang, picks governorship nomination form of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Enang being the first aspirant to pick the party nomination form as the party commence sales of her nomination form on Tuesday, 26th April, 2022.
Sen. Enang while addressing journalists shortly after picking his form at the party secretariat, said he feel elated for being the first to pick the form and promised to infuse new modus operandi in the administering justice the state.
He congratulated the new leadership of the party under Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and thanked them for ensuring a smooth process for the purchase of forms.
Enang also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for giving the party the best leadership possible, rebuffing the claim that the party – APC is facing a factional crisis in Akwa Ibom.
“I feel elated and I appreciate the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the organizing secretary and all the national officers for the seamless manner and the well-organized manner they have handled the sales of forms and in making sure that at every stage and in every state there is amity and unity.
“Thus far throughout the processes of the campaign, nomination, contest and contact with the delegates have been peaceful and handled like a family affair. I want to say I feel elated for the process.”
Rebuffing the factional crisis, he said: “There is no more factions in Akwa Ibom APC. All interests have sank into one family and the family is All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
“We will conduct the contest under one leadership in one venue with one candidate and one winner will emerge in the gubernatorial, senatorial, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly elections. We will come up with one candidate each.”
“I will bring to the table accountability, change in the mode of doing things, in the manner with which we generate funds in the state and the national level attracting and working more with federal agencies to be able to bring development to the state and giving attention to agriculture, education and declaring emergency on the development of the youth and human infrastructure.” Enang siad.
