Following the commencement of sales of forms on Tuesday by the ruling APC to those wishing to contest various elective positions in the 2023 General Elections, the Minister of State for Education,Hon.Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba will tomorrow, Wednesday, at the National Secretariat of the Party pick the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the Office of President.

Our correspondent, who has been monitoring activities around the serving Minister and former lawmaker, reports that reliable information from the supporters and political allies of the Imo-born politician and technocrat indicates that the purchase of the forms has ended months of speculations as to whether the serving Minister seeing by many as Buhari’s favourite for the plum job would run for President or not.

Amidst the renewed urge and clamour for the return of former President Goodluck Jonathan to power under the banner of the ruling APC,it is left to be seen how the current push for a President of Southeast Igbo extraction will way against the rumoured support of some powerful stakeholders in the ruling APC for the eventual candidature of the former President ,who hails from the South South Geo-political Zone of the country. Jonathan has continued to shilly-shally on the idea of presenting himself for election on the basis of what many have speculated is the need for a sole endorsement by the ruling APC.

Whichever way the speculations go,the weeks and months ahead leading to activities that will herald the General Elections in Nigeria promise to be politically exciting and surprising,I must add.
