The aspiration of Pastor Aboh Otse Okibe to represent the good people of Ado LGA in the Benue State House of Assembly on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC come 2023 in a three days marathon Official declaration, was greeted with overwhelming support as he made official declaration to the party faithful at Apa, his home, Agila the traditional headquarters of the Agila people and at Igumale, the Ado local government headquarters.
In a unanimous vote of confidence and unwavering allegiance to his aspiration, the local government stakeholders, the ten council wards party chairmen, Secretaries and other EXCO members of the party in the local government alligned with his aspiration and vowed to give the unassuming young leader their unflinching support to him to fly the party ticket ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The ward EXCO who came out in their numbers in support of his aspiration, maintained that their decision was hinged on the qualities of character pastor Otse posseses, which they said, if given opportunity, Ado local government would boast of a good representation at the state legislature.
They enjoined the aspirant to consult widely and to always put the interest of the party above his personal interest even in event things could not favourably goes his way.
The ward Chairmen and secretaries on behalf of the entire Exco pledged their unconditional support to Hon. Ben Ikese led Local government EXCO of the party.
In a related fashion, the stakeholders who spoke separately at the occasion opined that its only pst Aboh Otse Okibe that has the requisite credentials to give Ado a desired representation at the state House of Assembly.
Speaking, the former Ado caretaker Chairman and critical stakeholder from Igumale, Hon. Mrs, Elizabeth Onma Ogenyi, said Pst. Aboh Otse Okibe is a vibrant young man who values human relations and has prepared himself for leadership.
Mrs. Ogenyi who reiterated with conviction, stressed that pastor Otse being a faithful servant of God would not disappoint the confidence reposed on him, adding that this is a new era and there was a need to support young men with vision and charisma to represent the people for overall development of the local government.
Also speaking, the former Chairman of Ado, Envg. Sunday Onah, said pastor Aboh Otse Okibe has no rivals for the position stressing that the people can no longer bring a mediocre whose interest was to siphon the collective destiny of the people to themselves.
Envg. Onah explained that the enterprising young man is a home bred who know the challenges of the people he aspired to represent and could be assessed at all times.
He enjoined party leaders and delegates to be guided not to give out ticket to those who do not know the plight of the area.
On his part, the former vice Chairman of Ado and a major stakeholder from Untonkon, Hon. Innocent Agasi who eulogised the exceptional qualities of Pastor Aboh Otse Okibe, said he has respect for Pst Otse whom he said has no discrimination in his mind.
Hon. Maintained “Pst Otse was a bridge between the young and the elderly and has not offended anyone who he relates with across the divide.
He therefore solicited the support of other stakeholders and delegates to give him the necessary support to deliver him at the party primary and the general elections.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Chairman of APC in Ado LGA, Hon. Ben Ikese thanked the stakeholders and leaders of the party for working tirelessly to ensure the party was prepositioned to take over power in the state.
Hon. Ikese declared that under his leadership, every member of the party would be given equal right and urged the aspirant to work hard to win the support of the delegates as no aspirant would be treated as sacred cow.
He sued for peace and unity of all party faithful and enjoined them to respect the party and it’s leadership.
Hon. Ikese solicited the support of everything party man and woman to build the party in the local government to an enviable height.
In a response, the leading aspirant for Ado state constituency seat at the state House of Assembly on the platform of APC for the forthcoming general elections, Pastor Aboh Otse Okibe, said his aspiration was a collective vision for overall development of Ado state Constituency.
The young pastor, business man turned politician argued that he joined the race because of the burning desire in him to really changes the area to where peace and unity of the people would not only be preached but be seen and every Ado persons would be respected among other people and accorded the respect we deserved.
Pastor Otse maintained that if given the chance to represent the good people of Ado, he would use his leadership acumen and connection and prayer to repositioned the area and made the people reap from the abundant natural gift God has blessed them with.
The immediate past Chairman, Inter party Advisory Council (IPAC), lamented the backwardness of the area despite the abundant human and natural resources, saying lack of effective representation has endangered the life and properties of the people.
He noted with assurance, when voted to power, iwould not rest on my oars untill the glory of the land returned.
Pst Otse appreciated the elders of the party in the local government for their efforts for making sure the party remain one indivisible family.
He equally thanked the local government EXCO and the ward EXCO in the ten council wards for their commitment to the party especially for giving him overwhelming support for his aspiration.
He Pledged his sustained commitment and zeal to the development of the party.
He expressed his profound gratitude and appreciations to all those who were able to made it to the historical declaration and also thanked those who could not attend because of other engagements for their calls and good wishes.
