2023: I’ve seen victory ahead of me, says Benue SDP Senatorial candidate

Posted on June 2, 2022 by admin

The Social Democratic Party SDP candidate for the Benue North East Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections, Comr Martin Iorsamber says his emergence at the just concluded SDP Senatorial primaries in Benue State, is a clear indication that he will win at the secondary election.

Iorsamber said his emergence has started attracting people to the SDP in the seven local government areas in the zone which according to him is a clear indication that the people are tired of the ruling People’s Democratic Party in the State.

Speaking with our correspondent Comr Martin Iorsamber dismissed fears that his opponents from the PDP and APC will stand a chance at the secondary election, adding that the same fate will befall many other APC and PDP candidates in the state and national assembly elections due to the deceit they have fed the people with in the past seven years.

“The consequence of this is that the PDP has lost focus, it became a party without a goal in mind, unable to assert or proclaim any specific principle or ideology. The economy has paid dearly for this and the political space has become turbulent and things are falling apart without any center at all. If you look deeply what will you say is the future of the youths? How can someone who has been in power since 1999 without anything to show for it still wants to rule? Each year they keep changing the goal post, telling the youth; “you are leaders of tomorrow” and this their tomorrow has no end.

“In the scheme of things presently, nobody is sure of anything within the PDP in Benue. They only just wanted power for the sake of it, the Ortom administration keep playing the blame game even after about seven painful years in office”, he said. Comr Martin however said with the calibre of people in the SDP who are determined to give quality governance to Nigeria, there is no doubt adding that the success of the party primaries in the State is owed largely to the consistent advice and choices of candidate. He called on all and sundry to rise up and team with the SDP to elect credible leaders who will serve the people
