God, the Master Creator of everything in the universe, created man with unique features. Parts of these features are the five senses of human beings. The sense of feeling by touching, perceiving by smelling, recognizing by seeing, detecting by hearing and knowing sweetness or bitterness by tasting. All these senses are for specific purposes and significance. The devotional today desired to talk on sense of seeing. There are lots of things God created around us that when seen ought to reveal to us that God exists and is worthy to be accepted as Almighty. If we have eyes to see and see with our eyes meditatively, we should not have been arguing that there is no God. If we all human beings see exactly what God has done for us and for our benefits we would have known and agreed that He is worthy to be worshipped, revered, and followed. Two times in the text above God asked Jeremiah “What do you see?”
Prophet Jeremiah saw exactly what God presented before his eyes. He got commended and commissioned by God. God gave him unction for excellent prophesy above his equals in his days. He was a Prophets challenging and correcting other Prophets of his days. He rebuked fellow prophets and the ordinary Israelites against false prophesies. In any society, those who do things that bring succor to humanity are those seeing things the ways God made them and the purposes for which those things were made for the benefits of the people on earth. God gave us the eyes to see what is bad, ugly, good, excellent, cherishable, goodly etc., so that we learn from what we see, correct what is not good as well as implement what is cherished.
One of the reasons different people have different governments, policies and how economies are run is as a result of what they saw us they travelled out and replicate such in their countries. Those who went out, saw things, copied and replicated are seen having good governance. Those who went, saw and refused to copy the good sights are those reproducing bad governments at every new calendar of their elections. It is baffling that there are many developing countries in the so called Third World Countries. It is unbelievable to see their leaders having travelled out and returned home, instead of establishing good leaderships chose to effect bad leaderships. If they have eyes to see and see positively, they would have done better. This devotional, in this series concludes that many world leaders have not seen things well for their people. If they have eyes to see, they would have been amongst the best leaders of the world. The beloved, let us use the best we have seen to transform our world before it will be too late.
PRAYERS:
1. Pray asking God never to allow you use your eyes see exactly what He this world for as He presents it to for you exactly.
2. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead your eyes to see what God wants you to see so that you are commended and commissioned for His Higher Calling in Jesus name.
