Agila Appreciates NBC for Siting of Project

The people of Agila community in Benue state have expressed their gratitude to the Director General of National Boundary Commission, Surveyor Ademu Adaji, for facilitating the siting of a motorised borehole in the area.

The Otsonu Agila and Chairman of Agila Traditional Council, Chief Emmanuel Otse Orinya, stated this during a brief handing over ceremony of the project to the community by representative of the contracting firm, Mr. Alex Uke. He appreciated Gunama Synergy Concept LTD, for doing a quality job.

He reinterated the commitment of his people to maintain between Agila and Ngbo in order enable the Commission to demarcate the boundary between the two communities. Chief Orinya emphasised that the project has once more opened Agila to the attention of the federal government.

Chairman of the Benue/Ebonyi Interstate Peace and Security Committee and Special Adviser to Benue State Governor on Secondary and Tertiary Education, Chief Otse Otokpa, who witnessed the ceremony, appreciated NBC and Benue State government for facilitating the project. He stressed the commitment of His Excellency, Samuel Ortom, Executive Governor of Benue State, and the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Benson Abounu, to facilitate more projects to the people, the demarcation of the Benue and Ebonyi Interstate boundary. He requested that since similar project is in Ngbo Community, NBC should formerly commission them by inviting officials of governments and people of the border communities to either programme. This, according to him, would open up communications between the people and further improve on their mutual interactions. Chief Otokpa appealed for more of such projects, particularly feeder roads, that would bring the communities together, with the view to fast tracking the demarcation of the boundary.
