The National Assembly Speakership hopeful Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and his deputy Hon. Benjamin Kalu have schedule a meeting with all the returning and members elect from the North West zone .
The meeting which is tagged: caucus meeting for Abbas / Kalu 2023 will be holding in Abuja.
A member who did not want his name mention said the essence of the meeting is to strategize and put finishing touches to the 10th national assembly leadership election scheduled for next week.
The 10th national assembly will be Inuagurated on 13th June ,where all the principal officers will be elected same day to pilot the affairs of the House, he stated.
He said the North West Caucus meeting will form part of the block votes that will give Abbas smooth victory next week.
According to him, the meeting comprises of Abbas and Kalu as well as the joint task force and the unity forum ,saying that the meeting will bring members together for a block vote .
Adding that the joint task force and Unity forum are working round the clock to ensure that Abass/ Kalu emerge victorious, he also said, both the joint task force and unity forum are comprised of elected members from different political parties to represent their constituencies at the national assembly and each member is a delegate for the election .
Another member elect from PDP said chances are bright for Abbas and Kalu therefore they don’t want to take any chance for the election .
