The Social Democratic Party’s House of Assembly candidate for the 2023 election and former Secretary to Ado Local Government Area in Benue State, Hon. Oriri Richard rejoined the Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) says his rejoining the party aimed to the promotion of social development and political dividends for his people.
Oriri Richard, in his statement, conveyed his return to APC with the aim of collaborating with the political leaders to drive development initiatives in his communities.
Oriri expresses appreciation for the positive start by the decision-makers, who many he said are his friends and potential partners in addressing the social and infrastructural needs in their communities. He also extended his gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering encouragement, urged them to remain united, and sought their complete support for the APC government.
As a firm believer in party supremacy, Prince Oriri, who played a pivotal role in APC’s success during the 2023 general elections, officially rejoined the ruling party on July 30, 2023, at his Ijigban Ward in Ado LGA, in the presence of esteemed APC leaders.
The APC youth leader of the ward,, Hon. Onma Echoga Ikeh, hailed Oriri’s decision and commended him for his unwavering support that contributed to APC’s overwhelming victory in Ijigban Ward during the last elections. According to Hon. Ikeh, Oriri’s return to APC will bolster members’ trust in the party at the Ward level, given that he is the only one joining from within the Ward says others are joining from Abuja, Makurdi, and Otukpo, commend his commitment to truth.
It is worth recalling that Prince Oriri Richard was the SDP candidate for Ado State Constituency in the last election. After losing to APC, he displayed sportsmanship by congratulating the winner, Hon. Lami Danladi Ogenyi.”
