Yesterday’s devotional made readers to know that God our Almighty Father feels good when human beings express His wonderful works. Expression of God’s wonderful works forms part of our praising and worshipping Him. The first things we Christian should do to glorify God is meditating on God’s wonderful works. We must see His great works in everything He has created. As human beings, till we become aware that we carry God’s glory, we will find it difficult to adore Him and praise Him. We are actually the revelation of God’s glory. The Bible clearly stated this: “Everything He does (His works) reveals His glory and majesty” (Psa. 111: 3). It is a sign of righteousness to seeing ourselves as revelation, that is manifestation, of God’s wonderful works.
Our duties as God’s children should include telling God how we appreciate Him for creating us too special and glorious than other creatures. This is another way of giving God praises. God spoke through Prophet Isaiah that one of the purposes He created human beings is to declare His praise: “The people I created to declare my praise” (Isa. 43: 21). It is worthy to know that the primary act of praising God is acknowledging and declaring His wonderful works. God would have wanted us to keep remembering on daily bases that we are His wonderful acts. We should be speaking this to our souls and expressing loudly for God to hear Psalm 111: 4 echoes this saying: “He has made His wonderful acts to be remembered… (NIV).
We can imagine how ingrate we have been as God’s children. We are supposed to see how gracefully God created us and made goodly provisions for us every day and convert our grumblings and murmuring to giving Him thanks; making His mighty acts known to every person we meet. The Bible says: “All your works shall give thanks to you and praise you, O LORD. And your godly ones will bless you. They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and talk of your power. To make known to the sons of men your mighty acts and glorious majesty of your kingdom” (Psa. 145: 10 – 12 NIV). The beloved of the LORD, don’t you think you are part of the works of God? If you know you are, then, express His great and mighty works in you daily and use it to be happy with God every day.
PRAYER:
Thank you FATHER, for making me know today that I am a wonderful work of your Majesty. I sincerely repent of my daily grumbling against you. Grant me favour today to talk of your majestic wonderful works in me to people in the name of Jesus.
