The Borno State Independence Electoral Commission (BOSIEC) and the security agencies has received multiple applauds from candidates and electorates over the conduct of the state local government election.
Hon. Ali Bolari while responding to questions from journalists after casting his votes commend the BOSIEC for ensuring a transparent, free, fair and credible local government poll in the state.
He also commended BOSIEC for the timely distribution of electoral materials, mobilization and deployment of electoral and security officers across the 27 local government areas.
Dst. Sen. Bashir Kaka Garubai shortly after casting his votes said while addressing press men that
” BOSIEC has done a commendable work from preparation and execution of the election, adding that he is confident in the election he described as free, fair and credible.
commenting on the election, the forum of state independence electoral commission of Nigeria who doubled as the chairman, Sokoto State Independence Electoral Commission, Dr. Aliyu Suleiman says the process is seamless and an improvement to past LG poll in other state.
” The Borno state independence electoral commission has done a commendable work, we from other state is learning from it to improve on what is obtainable in our various states.
From the mobilization of personnel by BOSIEC to distribution of materials and deployment of security for the election is commendable, Ali said.
On the turn out of electorates, Pan Afric Reporters correspondent who was in the state to cover the election reports that people came out in their multitude in all polling units visited and casted their votes peacefully.

Earlier, the BOSIEC executive chairman, Alh. Lawan Maina Mahmud led the visiting states’ SIEC chairmen to the Shehu of Borno, HRH Alh. (Dr.) Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai-Amin El-Kanemi CFR shortly after His Royal Highness casted his vote; they received his royal blessings and prayers.
His Royal Highness while thanking them for the visit notes that their visit to the palace shows their respect to the traditional institution and wish them well in the assignment.
In the state with the forum chairman of state Independence electoral commission to witness the election with the intention to improve the state electoral process are Jigawa SIEC chairman, Auwalu Muhammad Harbor, Benue SIEC, Dr. Joseph Festus, Kwara SIEC Chairman, Madu Baba, Yobe SIEC, Dr. Mammam Muhammad Pataskum, Nasarawa SIEC, Abubakar Balarebe, Gombe SIEC, Muhammad sumaila Kumo, Bauchi SIEC, Ahmad Makama.
Also on ground is the Ogun, Osun, Zamfara, Kano state SIEC chairman and others.
