The Nigeria Customs Service, under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR and Management team, has recently honored the commendable efforts of three officers at the PH Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Command for their outstanding role in revenue recovery.
The CGC proudly acknowledges the exceptional contributions of Superintendent of Customs Binaebi Kalama, Superintendent of Customs Modibbo Aminu, and Assistant Superintendent of Customs II Umar Abdulazeez. Their collective bravery and unwavering integrity resulted in the recovery of an impressive sum of Three Billion, One Hundred and Eighteen Million Four Hundred and Forty-Four Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty-Eight Naira (#3,118,444,588.00).
He congratulated the officers, commending their courage and integrity in fulfilling their statutory duties. He stated, “Your immense contribution to the Service is admirable, and your consistency in revenue generation and recovery aligns with the Management’s agenda. You are found worthy of commendation for your professionalism and patriotism in the discharge of your duties.”
In response, the honored officers thanked the Comptroller-General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR and his entire management team for the recognition. They view it as a morale booster and have pledged to continue to ensure the service’s success in achieving the targets of over 5 trillion naira set in 2024 by the Federal Government.
On his part, the Customs Area Controller of the command, Comptroller Abubakar Umar, commended the CGC and his management team for always appreciating and commending officers and men of the service who have exceptionally done well in their duty post. He promised he would continue to do his best to lead in revenue recovery for the command.
This commendation highlights the commitment of the PH Oil and Gas FTZ Command to upholding the highest standards of service and contributing significantly to the revenue goals of the Nigeria Customs Service.
