In the first series of this devotional we were told that God bestowed upon Jesus the highest power both in heaven and on the earth. Also, that Jesus delegated this power to His Disciples, and finally made the Holy Spirit of God to bring upon the Disciples this power, for them to use for the propagation of the gospel. This power is meant to flow from one generational Christian to another. This devotional is building on the delegated power, anchoring on the necessity for all Christians to experience the delegated power of the Son. Experiencing the Son’s Power is very necessary for Christians; especially with the rate demonic kingdoms are warring with the churches of Christ. We need this Divine Power to deal decisively with these days’ sophisticated evil manipulations on the churches.
We are in a generation, which runs to where power is seen. Reason there are so many false prophets and fake power-possessed people deceiving many people. If Christians know they have been delegated with Jesus’ power and authorized to use the power, they will not be fooled around. Also, the unbelievers will come to Jesus in great number. As Jesus has power and authority controlling all things, we Christians with His delegated power and authority can control our Spiritual worlds. What makes this a reality is the “power of our faith.” If the Bible says Jesus’ power is “exceeding greatness”, Christians should know the power delegated to them is also of “exceeding greatness.” The extent we believe in having Jesus’ delegated power and authority determines our use of the power. Some Christians do not think they can wield extraordinary divine power on situations confronting them. This attitude sacred many people away from using the power. It is ours and for our use in proper ways. The Power of Jesus’ Resurrection is the very power delegated to us (1 Cor. 15: 17 – 19; Phil. 3: 4 -11).
Christians should not be ignorant of the delegated Power of Jesus Christ. In the ordinary, whoever is delegated with power represents the person who delegated it. The delegate is accepted as the real person who delegated him or her at any meeting or an occasion. Once you are being delegated, you can exercise the full power of one who delegated you. We Christians as delegates of Christ have to know we can act in full capacity of Jesus Christ. We are told in Romans 8: 19 that “For all creation is waiting eagerly for the future day when God will reveal who His children really are.” (NLT Bible). I always use this for the revelation power inherent in Christians. The evil powers see the delegated power of Jesus in Christians and waits in an expectation when the Christians will use the power rightly. The beloved, know therefore, that Jesus delegated all His powers to us and for us to use them while on the earth. What do we make of Jesus word here: – “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given me. Go therefore and make…” (Matt. 28: 18 – 20). Here is the process of power delegation. The “go therefore”, carry sense of handing over the power and authority to them. Please, use this power. It is meant to be used and not to be kept.
PRAYERS:
1. LORD JESUS, thank you for this revelation. I have desired to use your delegated power as from today. Let the power flow from me any time I apply it in faith.
2. Pray and cast out of your mind, presence of doubt and fear making you believe that you do not acquire the Jesus delegated power in Jesus name.
POSITIVE CONFESSION:
I am a dynamite of Jesus Christ; I am a conqueror in Jesus name.
