In the first series of this devotional we are made to know generally that God’s prayed Kingdom is with us here on the earth. *Christians are told to believe by faith and in the Spirit realm that God’s Kingdom is already within the hearts of living Christians on the earth. Refusing to believe in this is one of the reasons many Christians do not exercise their rights of “…Royal priesthood and holy nation, a peculiar people…” (1 Pet. 2: 9). Apostle Peter told us that we shall wear crown of glory at the Second Coming of Jesus (1 Peter 5: 4). We are crowned generation already on the earth. According to Prophet Isaiah, Jesus Christ will be born with His Government resting upon His shoulders (Isa. 9: 6). His birth brought heaven’s Kingdom. In praying “Thy Kingdom Come” we must believe we have received His Spiritual Kingdom. We must know we are operating within His Kingdom already and not subject to any other kingdoms on the earth. In Luke 17: 20 – 21 we see that when the Pharisees asked Jesus of “…when will the Kingdom of God come?” His answer to them was that “The Kingdom of God is within you.” The word “within” is put as “in your midst” or “is among you.”
Until we Christians understand we are spiritually in God’s Kingdom on the earth and therefore, His Presence is with us on the earth, we will continue seeing ourselves as ordinary people to be pushed up and down; to and fro by forces of the world. We must exercise our authorities as God’s representatives in this world. We will not exercise God’s power in heaven when get there after death.Believing that the Kingdom of God is among us, within us and in our midst, we must trust God’s ability to back us up in anything done to dominate our world. We are children of God who says He has no equal (Isaiah 45: 5, 18). This should inform us of our position on the earth. We too will not have equal in exercising our authority and rights. We are not supposed to be too afraid of who does what to us. If we believe we are within God’s Kingdom on the earth, we should trust His ability that He can never forsake us as long as we seek Him within His Kingdom (Psa. 9: 10).
Anyone who is a member of a kingdom is defended by the kings of the kingdom. We Christians are to believe that God knows us as families of His Kingdom. We are therefore, to trust Him enough that He and His angels will defend us against ant enemy. The Bible says God makes His Kingdom forms a fire round about us for defense (Zech. 2: 5). We must trust God and His Majestic power that, at any time, He can send His fire to consume our enemies (Psa. 97: 3 – 4). It is really sad seeing many Christians behaving as if God cannot do much to save them, supplies their needs and provides for them. It is a sin for Christians who have been praying “Thy Kingdom Come” to be seen running helter skater to evil men and women to protect them from troubles. As Christians, know that God is ruling the world through you already. In all things, present yourselves as one having enough backups from heaven to do and undo spiritually. If this is done in faithfulness and absolute trust in God, you will always be on top of your situations and enemies. CONGRATULATIONS.
PRAYERS:
1. Pray and thank God for the privilege of accepting you as His child that you can reign over the world through His Kingdom on earth.
2. Pray and ask Jesus Christ to always work with you as His co-heir in God’s Kingdom on earth and to make His name powerful in you.
3. Ask God and His Son Jesus Christ together with the Holy Spirit to renew your mentality about your vague knowledge of ruling in their Kingdom already on the earth.
POSITIVE CONFESSION:
I confess my ignorance of being God’s representative of His Kingdom on earth. I will ever see myself as Jesus co-heir on the earth henceforth. Hallelujah!!!
