The instruction to love one’s fellow man is found with all religions as well as with all traditional religions. It has never been a problem to be told to love people. The word LOVE is in the heart of every human being. Every human being wants to be loved every day. Knowledge about love is not lacking in the memory of mankind. Major problem with love is the nature and how it is given. There are sheds and variables of love and this can be seen as the world engages self in the kind of love she is giving out or receiving.
Natural human beings live and are taught to love who loves them only. A man will tell a virgin girl “I love you greatly” yet goes ahead to disvergin her. Married men and women share matrimonial beds with other men and women believing the actions as love sharing. The situation has deteriorated to the extent that some men and women are now involving themselves in beastialism (sexual relationship with animals) claiming they are in love with the animals. Is no longer a bad news to hear that father makes love with the daughter or mothers making love with their sons because they feel those are correct ways of giving out love. But amongst Christians, out of the many kinds of love, one kind remains different and outstanding. This is the love Jesus came with from God. Jesus Christ came to teach the world the genuine love God has for the world.
This devotional focuses on the nature of love Jesus came to teach the world. He brought to us the real love God designed for us. The Bible says “God so loved the world that He gave His Begotten Son… (John 3: 16). The nature of love God sent Jesus Christ to teach the world was superlative love. It is the greatest kind of love human beings are meant to be giving to one and another. Jesus taught this love in words and actions. He expected the world to have been saturated with the love He taught her. Question here is, “Does the world retain the Jesus’ taught love till now? It is sad enough to say the fact that, that love is sparsely seen these days. The world wouldn’t have been in the mess it founds itself these days if we have allowed the Love Jesus came to teach remains with the world. We will see details of this love in the three series following this one. Follow us to the next devotional.
PRAYER:
Pray, asking Jesus Christ to make you ready to receive the knowledge of the nature of love He has for the world.
