There will always be much to talk about the Love which Jesus Came To Teach. There cannot be any individual who taught, both in practical and theoretical, genuine love like Jesus Christ. The crux of this devotionals, on the Love Jesus Came To Teach His Disciples, and of course Christians, is for us to know the teachings and apply them in our daily living on earth. Jesus walked about and ministered in love. The Bible says “Jesus of Nazareth went about doing good” (Acts 10: 38). Love at heart was reason Jesus did all the good works in the Bible. We Christians are to imitate Jesus’ kind of love, moving about with the love of people at heart, doing good for them. Apostle Paul seems to magnify the teaching of Love from Jesus when he admonished his hearers to “…walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma” (Eph. 5: 2 NIV). Jesus’ death on the Cross is seen as the costliest show of love for mankind. To save the world from sins, He has to offer His precious life on the Cross. He had the choice not to go for the Cross. But the love for mankind took Him there.
Jesus left we Christians with the command to love people unconditionally in order to make them become children of God. The world has no genuine love for no body. The world loves itself above everyone, cheating and manipulating everyone to her benefits. This has created much hate, anger and war. Christians are to neutralise the evil the world caused by loving people. There should be no reason for Christians not to love people. Even at the point of arresting, Jesus Christ has to replace the ear of one of the people who came to arrest Him, who Peter slashed off his ear. Jesus did not replace the ear for miracle sake, but out of love. Few Christians can demonstrate such love today. The solution to world wickedness is genuine love for everyone. We Christians should jointly begin to love people, helping the needy, clothing the naked, paying hospital bills for the less privileged and play down crave for personal wealth and popularity. In doing these things the world will begin changing for good. Let no one say it cannot be again. Yes, the results may delay, but the maximum peace and safety will surely emerge one day. This devotional ends with compassionate appeal to Christians in every denomination to join hands in helping the world by sowing love anywhere and into every human being. In Christ there is no tribe, not slave or free man, no male or female by discrimination. All are one in Christ (Gal. 3: 28).
PRAYER:
Blessed Father, to all human it might be too hard to love. Remove from me the heart of man and grant me the heart of Jesus to enable me love all mankind in the name of Jesus Christ.
POSITIVE DECLARATION:
I take upon myself the grace to love everyone from today. My light of love is about illuminating the world. Hallelujah.
