Believing and trusting that the God we Christians worship is Jehovah Nissi (The Lord Our Banner), should equip us with understanding that He is the LORD who can deliver us from all our enemies. Yesterday devotional told us that we got to do something for Jehovah Nissi to stand for us as our banner. Moses, Aaron and Hur positioned themselves on the rocky mountain holding up God’s staff till the enemies were deflated and also defeated. Yes, they endured pains, hunger and the cold weather of the wilderness holding up the staff for the victory to be made.
The world is returning with their rage against the children of God again for more than a decade now. All over the globe today, people are gathering, plotting and fashioning ways to annihilate Christians. We are not allowed to return violence for violence; we are not allowed to acquire war arsenals. But we are to lift up our collective voices in prayers. *We are to intercede in prayers and leave God with choosing His Army to fight for us. He can turn the people plotting against us to face each other and eliminate themselves as He did to the Ammonites, the Philippines and their alliance group (2 Chro. 20: 1-2, 22-24). Our lead text wonders over the worthless thoughts of those planning to kill God’s children. The Psalmist saw that no matter how the world and her kings take counsel together against the Messiah, that is the anointed, to kill His people; God sits in the heavens laughing at them knowing they will not succeed.
If Christians, irrespective of their denominations, can pray with one voice and purpose, God will deliver the world. God asked us in Psa. 2: 8 to tell Him what to do. Then, He will deliver our enemies (heathens) into our hands and allows us take the possession of their heritance. Our prayers form the rod of iron which will break them into pieces. God has already positioned our Messiah upon His Holy hill of Zion, which is the Temples of the churches, to release His angels for our battles (Psa. 2: 6). Hours of deliverance will come if we all pray with one voice. It is time to put away our personal interests and the value of our denominations and jointly lift up God’s rod of war to see His Salvation. Let us settle the enemies with prayers and decrees.
PRAYER:
Our Father, Jehovah Nissi, confuse all the enemies of Christians in Nigeria and the entire world. Turn the battles against them. Let they use their weapons to finish themselves, in Jesus name.
POSITIVE DECLARATION:
I possess faith and confidence today to call confusion and defeat upon Christians’ enemies.
