Buba Says, as He Receives Radio Nigeria’s Director of News, Hussaina Akila Banshika, Others on a Courtesy Call.
A group of Adamawa State indigenes in the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN),led by the Director (News)at the Agency, Hussaina Akila Banshika, mni, today, Wednesday,paid a courtesy visit on the Director-General, Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC),Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub in Abuja.
While congratulating the NTAC boss on his appointment and on the impact he has made at the Agency in so short a time, the group lauded President Tinubu on his choice of the foremost federal lawmaker for the TAC job, saying that, given his achievements as Chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, no one could have run the Technical Aid Corps Scheme better at this time.
Buba, who enumerated the benefits of the TAC Scheme and the strategic role of soft-power diplomacy in an emerging multi-polar global context,where he said coercion was no longer an option to nation-nation relations,told the delegation that the Corps has expanded its programmes to multilateral Organisations and is planning to even cover countries outside the African, Caribbean and Pacific States in the coming year ,also urged them to continue to support the Agency with media visibility in its programmes and activities.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of gift to the former Gombi/Hong Rep by the group, which comprises Hamza Alkali, a Senior Correspondent with Radio Nigeria from Adamawa State ,who covers the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Desk and Halima Bulama,a Reporter-turned-Librarian at Radio Nigeria,who also hails from Adamawa State.
